Training Camp underway - First scrimmage this Saturday!

 

Mustangs Finish the Season with a loss to Kiski

The Mustangs ended the season with a loss to Kiski. The Mustangs battled many injuries through out the season, but they continued to fight hard with many underclassman seeing playing time. With over 25 underclassman earning letters this season hopefully it pays dividends for the Mustangs in the future.


Foxes beat Mustangs

After a hard fought first half where the young Mustangs jumped out to a 6 - 0 lead on Corey DeLoach's 73 yard reverse pass to CJ Lutz. The Foxes run game took over in the second half. The Mustangs were led by Lutz's 6 receptions for 129 yards and quarterback Chris Zdinak's 194 yards passing.


Mustangs fall to Altoona

The Mustangs traveled to Altoona this past Friday. The Mountain Lions were victorious behind 3 field goals and a defensive touchdown. Mustang freshman running back Kyle Smecker had a fine performance with 14 carries for 101 yards.


Mustangs Lost to #1 Ranked Central Catholic

The Mustangs lost to the #1 ranked Central Catholic Vikings. QB Chris Zdniak completed 16 of 29 passes for 158 yards and ran for a touchdown. Mike Digullio added 5 receptions for 41 yards.


Mustangs Lose to the 4 - 1 Highland Rams

The Mustangs lost this past Friday to the 4 - 1 Highland Rams in a non-conference matchup. The Rams running game proved to be too much for the young Mustangs. Injuries are taking their toll on the Mustangs with eight starters out due to injury. But the young players coming in and battling hard. Mustangs Go Down to the Indians

The Mustangs lost to the Penn Hills Indians Friday night. The Indians behind a strong running game go up early on the Mustangs and never looked back. Offensively Plum was led by Jake Diguillo, 14 carries for 71 yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver CJ Lutz, 5 receptions for 77 yards. Defensively line backer Colton Cooper registered 10 tackles. Congratulations to former Mustang player Kyle Simmons

Congratulations to Kyle Simmons for being named National Defensive Player of the Week. Kyle is a starting safety at Lafayette University. He recorded 15 tackles, 2 interceptions and 1 for a touchdown in Lafayette's win over Penn this past Saturday.  Kyles 2007 Plum High highlights can be viewed here.


Mustangs fall to the Wolverines

The Mustangs lost their first conference game to Woodland Hills this past Friday. The Mustangs jumped out to a  6 - 0 first quarter lead. But the Wolverines were able to gain control of the game in the second half. The Mustangs were led by wide receiver CJ Lutz who had 9 receptions for 86 yards. Defensively Nick Deluca had an interception. Up next for the Mustangs is the Penn Hills Indians at Penn Hills 7:30pm. Click here for some highlights from this game.


Mustangs Bounce Back

The Mustangs bounce back this week with a 19 - 14 victory over the visiting Kittanning Wildcats. The Mustangs were led by a strong 2nd half running game. Behind the line blocking of Matt Dombrowski, Kyle Tomasits, Colton Cooper, Steven Turchick, Chip Kress, Dante Palmari and Corey DeLoach. Tarique Ellis gained 86 yards on 15 carries and Jake Digullio added 3 rushing touchdowns. Defensively the Mustangs were led by Jake Kuhn with an interception and 3 pass break ups. Nik Sekerka, Colton Cooper and freshman Nate Turchick all added sacks.  Highlights for game 2 can be viewed here.  Mustangs take on #2 ranked Woodland Hills at home Friday night.


Mustangs Lose Opener

After 2 competitive scrimmages with Latrobe and Penn Trafford the Mustangs opened the season with a non-conference loss to #3 ranked Franklin Regional. The Mustangs will try and rebound this Friday at home against Kittanning - 7pm start. Click here to watch game 1 highlights.
